In-Game Commands

Most everything in the game that can be interacted with has a menu to show you what you can do. Just click once on anything ingame and if a menu comes up you can click on your choice (ie. Clicking on a cat brings up a menu showing Tame as the only option; click Tame and you will start taming the cat).


Movement:

  • Walk
  • Run
  • Pathfind
  • Open Door
  • Auto Follow
  • Stop Auto Follow
  • Hold right mouse button
  • Hold right mouse button and move cursor away from character in the direction you want to run
  • Double-right-click desired location (can turn pathfinding off in options on paperdoll)
  • Double-click
  • Alt + click what you'd like to follow
  • Alt + click your character


Interface:

  • Open character (Paper Doll)
  • Open Backpack
  • Open skill window
  • Open Spellbook
  • To see the name of an object
  • Move Item
  • Move entire stack of items
  • Move single item from stack
  • Pick up item
  • Open Container (Chest, bag, etc)
  • Open radar map

Combat:

  • Toggle War/Peace mode

Actions:

  • Use item
  • Use tools (Axe, Shovel, etc)
  • Use a moongate
  • Use spell
  • Use skill
  • Resurrect
  • Double-click item then click target
  • Double-click tool in backpack then click target
  • Walk into moongate, select destination and click the OKAY button
  • Double-click spell icon then click on target (if necessary, some spells don't require a target)
  • Click jewel next to skill you want to use in the skill window (if necessary, some skills have tools such as sewing kit or pickaxe)
  • Approach a wandering healer or shrine to resurrect yourself if you are a ghost


Communication:

  • Talk
  • Repeat last typed
  • Open bank
  • Buy from a vendor
  • Sell to a vendor
  • Type your statement then press ENTER
  • CTRL + Q
  • Type "bank" while at a bank to open your bank box
  • Type "vendor buy" while near a vendor
  • Type "vendor sell " while near a vendor


Miscellaneous:

  • Help
  • Log out character
  • Building type
  • Exit Game
  • Click HELP button on paperdoll and select appropriate option
  • Click LOG OUT button on paperdoll (for safe log out, go to an Inn or to your house before logging out)
  • To indentify what type of building you are entering, click the sign by the door
  • Click the LOGOUT button in the paper doll (Alt + X)


House Ownership:

  • To lock items down
  • To secure chests
  • To release items or chests
  • To ban an animal or player
  • To place a trash barrel
  • Type "i wish to lock this down" press enter,
    target item
  • Type "i wish to secure this" press enter,
    target chest
  • Type "i wish to release this" press enter,
    target item
  • Type "i ban thee" press enter,

  • Type "i wish to place a trash barrel", press enter (trash barrels can be destroyed using an axe)


Ship Ownership:

Manual Commands:

  • Move ship in desired direction.
  • Moves ship to the left.
  • Moves ship to the right.
  • Toggles ship movement on or off.
  • Stops current ship movement.
  • Moves ship one tile in desired direction and stops.
  • Moves ship slowly in desired direction.
  • Turns ship around and proceeds.
  • Rotate ship left.
  • Rotate ship right.
  • Moves ship forward.
  • "(Direction*)"
  • "Drift left", "Left"
  • "Drift right", "Right"
  • "Drop anchor", "Raise anchor"
  • "Furl sail", "Stop"
  • "One (direction*)", "(Direction*) one"

* Directions: Forward left, forward right, backward left, backward right, back left, back right, backwards, backward, back.


Map Navigation Commands:

  • Resume plotted course after stopped.
  • Stops current ship movement.
  • Sail directly to pin # on map, then continue on remainder of plotted course.
  • Asks tillerman which pin # you are heading to on map.
  • Sail directly to pin # on map, then stop.
  • Start along the charted course and continue until finished or "stop"ed.
  • "Continue"
  • "Furl sail", "Stop"
  • "Goto (#)"
  • "Nav"
  • "Single (#)"
  • "Start"


NPC (non-player characters) Commands:

Banker/Minter:

  • "Balance", "Statement"
  • "Bank"
  • "Check (amount)"
  • "Withdraw (amount)"
  • The banker will tell you the amount of gold in your bankbox.
  • The banker will open your bankbox for you.
  • If you have the gold specified in your bank, a bank check of that value will be placed in your bank box and the gold will be removed. (between 5,000 and 1,000,000 gold)
  • Will place (amount) of gold from your bankbox in your backpack, if possible.

Escort:

  • "I will take thee"
  • "Destination"
  • Will make the NPC waiting for an escort follow you. You must be close to the NPC when you issue this command.
  • Will make the NPC tell you where he wants to be escorted to.

Ferry:

  • "I would like to cross"
  • This will tell the Skara Brae ferryman to take you across the water to the mainland, or back. (In fact any sentence with the word "cross" in it will work)

Hireling:

  • "(Name) come"
  • "(Name) drop"
  • "(Name) follow"
  • "(Name) follow me"
  • "(Name) friend"
  • "(Name) guard"
  • "(Name) guard me"
  • "(Name) hire"
  • "(Name) kill"
  • "(Name) move"
  • "(Name) patrol"
  • "(Name) report"
  • "(Name) stay"
  • "(Name) stop"
  • "(Name) transfer"
  • Summons the hireling to your location.
  • Drops everything it's carrying to the ground.
  • Follows targeted being.
  • Follows you.
  • Treats targeted player as another owner.
  • Will guard the targeted item or being.
  • Will guard you.
  • Responds with how much it will cost to hire him/her.
  • Attacks targeted being.
  • Makes the hireling move away so you can pass.
  • Roves between two or more guarded objects/beings.
  • Responds with how they feel about their job.
  • Stops and stays in current spot.
  • Cancels any current orders to guard or follow.
  • Transfers complete ownership to targeted player.

Other NPC's:

  • The NPC will step aside or away from you.
  • The NPC will tell you the current time.
  • The NPC will give you directions to the town, shop, building or player you asked him about, if he knows the location.
  • Can be used with almost any NPC. They will respond by telling you what skills they can teach you (if any).
  • Say this to an NPC that has indicated it can teach that skill. The NPC will respond by telling you how much it will cost you to recieve training in that skill, or it will tell you it cannot teach you more than you already know of that skill.


Karma:

  • "I honor thee"
  • "mu"
  • "ahm"

  • A player can transfer a small amount of Karma to another player. The giving player will lose 50 Karma points, the receiving player will gain 10 Karma points. The giver needs to have at least 50 Karma points and the receiver's Karma may not be locked.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Compassion, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Honesty, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Honor, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Humility, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Justice, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Sacrifice, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Spirituality, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Shrine of Valor, Karma unlocks.
  • Speak this at Chaos Shrine, Karma unlocks.


Pet Commands:

  • "(All/Name) come"
  • "(Name) drop"
  • "(Name) follow"
  • "(All/Name) follow me"

  • Attacks targeted being.
  • Releases pet back into the wild (undoes taming).
  • All or one pet will stop and stay in current spot.
  • Cancels any current orders to guard or follow.
  • Transfers complete ownership to targeted player.


Special Teleporters:

  • "Doracron"
  • "Recdu"
  • "Recsu"
  • "Sueacron"
  • Will activate the Serpent Pillars in the sea in Britannia and teleport you to the sea in the Lost Lands.
  • Will activate the teleporter in the north mage shop in Moonglow and teleport you to the mage shop in Papua.
  • Will activate the teleporter in the mage shop in Papua and teleport you to the north mage shop in Moonglow.
  • Will activate the Serpent Pillars in the sea in the Lost Lands and teleport you to the sea in Britannia.


Young Status:

  • "I renounce my young player status"
  • Once used the "young" status will be removed from the player. There is no way to reverse this, so be *very* sure if you want to do this.
