Fixing Patching Errors:
An improper installation or corruption of the game data can not only prevent the game from loading, but can cause the game to crash at seemingly random but very specific points in the game. When such an occurrence happens, it’s best to manually remove all of the components to make sure that next installation does not run into the same issues. To do a manual uninstall for Ultima Online Mondain’s Legacy, follow these steps:
Uninstall for WinXP/2000/98/ME:
1. Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Click All Programs.
3. Find the EA Games folder.
4. Click Uninstall UOML and follow the prompts to uninstall.
Delete the game folders:
1. Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Click Run.
3. Type C:\Program Files\EA GAMES into the text field, and click OK.
Note: If you changed the install path for the game during the initial installation, you will need
to type that into the text field in lieu of the previous path.
4. Right-click the Ultima Online Mondain’s Legacy folder, and select Delete to remove it.
5. When prompted if you are sure, select Yes.
Delete the game registry keys.
(Warning: Changes to the registry can cause your computer to operate improperly, so please follow these instructions exactly as they are written.)
Follow these steps to back-up the registry so that should something go wrong, you can restore your system back to a working state
1. Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Click Run.
3. Type regedit into the available text field, and click OK.
4a. If you are using Windows 2000/XP, click File on the toolbar, and select Export.
4b. If you are using Windows 95/98/ME, click on Registry on the toolbar, and select Export
Registry File.
5. Check All under Export Range.
6. Type registry_archive into the File name field, and click Save.
7. Close the Registry Editor by clicking the X in the top-right corner of the window.
Next, you will actually be removing the keys from the registry.
Be careful to only delete a key with information on our game in it! In many cases you may not even have these registry entries so don't worry if you can't find them.
1. Click the Start on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Click Run.
3. Type regedit into the available text field, and click OK.
4. Double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
5. Double-click SOFTWARE.
6. Double-click EA GAMES.
7. Right-click the Ultima Online: Mondain’s Legacy folder and select Delete to remove it.
8. When prompted if you are sure, select Yes.
9. Click the minus sign (-) next to EA Games.
10. Double-click Origin Worlds Online.
11. Right-click the Ultima Online Mondain’s Legacy folder and select Delete to remove it.
12. When prompted if you are sure, select Yes.
13. Click the minus sign (-) next to Origin Worlds Online.
14. Double-click Microsoft.
15. Double-click Windows.
16. Double-click CurrentVersion.
17. Double-click Uninstall.
18. Right-click the {DF7B213D-2065-41ED-BB51-7A3EED31EA7B} folder and select Delete to remove it.
19. When prompted if you are sure, select Yes.
20. Close the Registry Editor by clicking on the X in the top right corner of the window.
Delete the uninstall files:
Again, in most cases these files will already be deleted, so don't worry if you don't see them.
1. Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Click Run.
3. Type C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information into the text field and press OK.
Note : If Windows cannot find this location, try copying and pasting the bolded path into the text field.
4. Right-click the {DF7B213D-2065-41ED-BB51-7A3EED31EA7B} folder and select Delete to remove it
(if it is there, if not proceed to step 6).
5. When prompted if you are sure, select Yes.
6. Close the folder by clicking the X in the top-right corner of the window.
The game should now be completely removed from your system.
